A stunning location. An intimate ceremony. A deep sense of family and connection. Great snacks.
And most importantly, the kind of enduring love that should have a movie made about it.
R + J met all the way back in 2010. And they’ve been madly in love ever since. It hasn’t always been easy – with military service keeping them apart for years – but with romantic, wax-sealed letters, spotty wifi, once-a-week 15 minute phone calls and treasured brief trips home – they kept the flame of their love burning bright.
Ruby-Mae says that Jake has always felt like home. Like they were never getting to know each other, but remembering.
Jake says that the second he saw Ruby-Mae standing in his apartment doorway, he knew they were meant to be.
With a desire to keep this day as sacred and intimate as possible, there were just a total of 16 people. Afterwards, we kicked back with champers, snacks and beautiful gifts.
